iona's blog

It's a journal. It's a devotional. It's a record of a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) survivor. It's documentation of God's activities in real time. There are good days and bad, happy times and sad... I tell it like it is. This is an unscripted walk along the meandering paths of my mind. My life has never been dull... and I've never known boredom. Read on, you'll see...

Time & I

Somehow I was busy all day and got quite a bit done, but only about half what I had expected to do. Not unusual for me, and I continue to be bemused that time and I are so out of sync with each other. I never seem to catch up even when I schedule tasks farther apart and allot more time for completion. I don't let it get to me much any more because I think it is just the way things are for me. It only upsets me when I let others down because I have not estimated or managed time well. Today, I am the only one "shorted."

At least my house is clean and I have stocked up on groceries. I also had a good, long time in the Word and in prayer. We had a nice meal and this evening I sorted out the CD's, DVD's, Videos, and software discs. I even found the Microsoft Office code number I needed to make the software operate. After my laptop crashed and we had to wipe the hard drive in 2006, all the software was reinstalled, but I had lost the "key" number, or code or whatever they call it and could not operate the software. So, I am especially thankful to have found the original packaging with the prized number.

Kim called to say her trip had been cancelled, so we won't see her or Peyton next week, not until we go to Colorado in August. Too bad, I had really been looking forward to spending this time with them both. I so enjoyed it when I met them In Destin and spent several days. Oh, well, what is, is.

All in all, I've had a lovely day and the Lord has blessed me with His presence and His unconditional love. I really am totally amazed at the depth of God's love, care and the supreme sacrifice made for me... and anyone who would accept the free gift of salvation through Jesus.
