iona's blog

It's a journal. It's a devotional. It's a record of a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) survivor. It's documentation of God's activities in real time. There are good days and bad, happy times and sad... I tell it like it is. This is an unscripted walk along the meandering paths of my mind. My life has never been dull... and I've never known boredom. Read on, you'll see...

I am a happily married mother and grandmother of a large family. I've also had several careers including writer, teacher, trucker, investment and finance advisor, web master and artist. I am an ordained minister (not to the pulpit) and consider my calling to Christ's service my most important role in life.

Finally Over?

I got notice today that my 4-year old Workmen's Comp case will go to court 12/2/08. I am glad it will finally be over, but I wish they had given me more time to prepare. I am not worried about preparing a case, I am needing more time to figure out money and transportation. Oh well, God will work it all out.

I am praying that the hearing be fair and the judgement just for all parties. Finally, and most importantly, I pray that the Lord might present opportunities to witness, pray with people and spread the Gospel. After all, He wouldn't send me way back there just to go to court!

There is a possible chance I could see California people I love while I am there. If I drove, I could do that, but I am not sure about arrangements at all yet. I don't know if this is a one day event or if it will take longer.

Tomorrow we are going to Tampa to see Phantom of the Opera. We bought the tickets a little while back and have excellent orchestra seats. We'll have dinner at Fresh Harvest before the show. I'm really looking forward to this.

It is late and I still want to make some progress on my commentary/Bible Study notes. I always end up writing in more detail than I planned but am not entirely sure that's a bad thing.

And my day was like this...
  • 12:47 Updating Prayer and Small Group email lists, also sending welcome email to newcomers. Then send out new Prayer Focus and new Altar Team ...
  • 17:23 Working on commentary of the last third of Revelation 11. Hope to finish ch 12 by Wednesday.
