This graphic
design is from the Holy Spirit
He is the author. Each aspect of the design has
a special meaning. Any imperfections are the result of an
imperfect transcriber - me.
The Silver
Service
For our Lord and each other, we bring out our
best. The silver service represents our highest esteem
and hospitality to our honored guests and our Savior.
The Steaming
Cups
We offer warmth and fellowship and open sharing.
The steaming cups are three in number. Not one as in
selfish indulgence, nor two which might exclude others,
but three or more to suggest an open ended group - a
circle of love, support and caring friendship.
The Rough Hewn
Basket
We are humble before the Lord and each other,
indeed before all mankind. Nailed to a rough hewn cross,
our Redeemer gave freely of His life. The basket
signifies that cross and our willingness to serve our
Savior in our small, humble way. We strive to take up our
rough cross and bear it with joy.
The Colored
Daisies
We, like daisies, are of many colors and various
denominations, yet we consider each individual precious.
The daisy isn't a proud flower. It has not the prestige
of the rose nor the grandeur of the orchid. Indeed, the
daisy is actually a wildflower. We, too, were wild and
lost in our sins before the Lord drew us to Himself and we
answered His blessed call. These daisies do not stand
upright in a vase, rather they rely solely on the basket
for support just as we depend on the Creator and
Sustainer of all life for strength to meet each day and
follow the calling God has given us.
The Golden Text
Like the most precious of metals, we strive
toward purity that we may reflect the perfection of our
Lord. The golden text represents the priceless gift we
have received as well as the purity and sincerity of our
motives as we share Christ's love among ourselves and
with all mankind. For we seek not the riches of this
world. No, our eyes are on that heavenly prize for which
so dear a price has already been paid.
