A Bit of History

The Women of Grace held their first meeting September 1, 2005. It was the culmination of several months of planning and discussion plus a whole lot of prayer.

There is a ladies Bible study held in Lodi, and there had previously been a ladies Bible study in Galt but it was disbanded when the leader moved away. Iona Hoeppner, a new church member felt called to lead a study, but sought the sanction of the pastor and deacons.

Pastor Rob was on sabbatical and setting a meeting time for all three deacons just had not worked out. Some would-be group members were anxious to get started, but all of us wanted to wait for God's perfect timing and will.

The group quickly became united in love and began sharing trials and triumphs, joys and sorrows... we became a little family and, like our Lord, welcome others to be adopted in.
