Street is a Bulldog?!

This page remains in the "present tense" in loving memory of our dear, dear friend and constant companion, Street, who has now left this world. We hope you will smile as you enjoy the tongue in cheek humor about this most remarkable fellow whose memory yet brings us joy.

Yup, Street's a dog.... But he hasn't finished moving in yet. Actually, he hasn't done much of anything for years. He's probably the world's laziest critter!

Personal Interests

Sitting in his chair

Street loves his chair. Maybe because it's a Lazy Boy and Street is the laziest boy on the planet. The chair was a gift to his master, Richard, but Street took it over within days and has been its illegal owner ever since. The chair has been to the repair shop where the workers couldn't imagine how the arms were forced apart that way. They put in extra heavy steel bracing and Street hasn't broken it again...yet.

Guarding his water bowl

Street is very concerned that his owners may want to lap up all the water in his slimy bowl. He also worries that his two cats may drink some of his water and he wouldn't have enough. He likes the water bowl to be as full as possible so he can stick his whole face in. He is quite talented at filling his ample jowls with water and letting a steady stream leak out all through the house. He can easily douse every room without a refill!

Hanging his tooth

When he sleeps, which is about 20 hours a day, Street hooks one of his upper canine teeth on something and lets his massive head hang by that tooth. At night he hangs his tooth on the lowest handle of the dresser. During his daytime siestas, he hangs it on a coffee table ledge. Of course, sleeping this way causes his huge mouth to sag open and disgusting noises to echo throughout the house. Also, a considerable amount of drool forms a small lake which he appears to enjoy wallowing in.
